Revise without confusing repetition and learning
Rereading creates familiarity. Retrieving an idea without support reveals what you can actually use.

Rereading can help restore context, but it also creates a misleading sense of mastery: the text feels easy because it is present. When you need to answer without it, that ease disappears.
Produce before checking
A good question calls for an observable answer: a short list, an explained mechanism, a reconstructed diagram, or a justified decision. “Do I know this chapter?” cannot separate intuition from knowledge you can use.
Keep a light trace
Record only what prevented a correct answer: a confused term, a missing step, a reversed relationship. That trace should guide the next session, not become a second course to maintain.
